Digital innovation drives sustainability at construction and property technology Confex in Dubai

The eighth edition of the Construction Technology ConFex (CTF) and Property Technology ConFex (PTF), supported by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and Dubai Municipality, is set to take place from 30 April to 1 May 2025 at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina in Dubai. Organised by Ventures Connect, this premier digital and sustainable innovation event will gather over 1,000 industry leaders to explore advances in construction technology (ConTech) and property technology (PropTech) aimed at driving smarter, greener, and faster outcomes across the built environment.

The event aims to bridge the gap between ConTech and PropTech by bringing together key stakeholders including developers, owner-operators, contractors, consultants, community and facilities managers, and technology providers. Their collective goal is to enhance industry performance, competitiveness, and livability for end users. Katie Briggs, CTF Director, highlighted the importance of integration in the sector, saying, “We are connecting the dots between Capex and Opex to design, build and operate better. CTF and PTF will feature more than 150 speakers, over 40 exhibitors, and facilitate upwards of 550 business-to-business meetings aimed at high-impact networking, knowledge exchange, and deal-making. The event’s agenda is structured around four key pillars: Tech for Climate, Tech for the Social Agenda, Tech for Competitive Edge, and Tech for Productivity and Performance. These themes align with the UAE’s strategic objectives, such as the UAE Net Zero 2050 initiative, reflecting the region’s urgency to accelerate digital adoption within the industry.

In the ConTech arena, discussions will centre on practical applications of connected Common Data Environments, advances in artificial intelligence beyond chatbots, digital twins, robotics, and modern construction methods. New focus areas will include cybersecurity and data centre technologies, alongside the event’s signature ‘HardTalk’ session which addresses maximising the utility of construction technologies.

The PropTech segment will address innovations such as next-generation super apps, hyper-personalised tenant experiences, advanced AI applications beyond traditional sales agents, and seamless integration of technology across sales, leasing, and operational stages.
