Tadweer Group has launched the second edition of its Our Sustainable Farms initiative with five government partners, extending agricultural waste guidance to farms across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
Tadweer Group has launched the second edition of its Our Sustainable Farms initiative, extending agricultural waste management support to a wider network of farm and barn owners and workers across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, the company said in a statement published on 4 August.
The campaign is delivered with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, Silal and TAMM. It runs through September 2026 and combines field visits, awareness workshops, multilingual educational resources and digital communications.
Farmers and agricultural workers receive practical guidance on waste segregation, green waste management, fallen stock, soil and water conservation, livestock care, climate resilience and the use of approved collection and disposal services. Educational materials are being produced in several languages for the emirate’s agricultural workforce.
New this year is a partner-led podcast series hosted by Tadweer Group, featuring representatives from the participating government entities alongside agricultural specialists and farmers. The series covers sustainable farming practices, responsible waste management, food security, resource conservation and environmental stewardship.
“Sustainable agriculture begins with responsible environmental practices. Protecting natural resources requires more than awareness alone, it depends on continuous engagement, trusted partnerships and practical knowledge that enables communities to take meaningful action,” said Abdulwahed Juma, executive director of communications and awareness at Tadweer Group.
The initiative sits within Tadweer Group’s wider mandate to build a circular economy in Abu Dhabi. It contributes to the company’s goal of diverting 80% of the emirate’s waste from landfill by 2031 and pushes more efficient resource use across a farming sector central to the UAE’s food security plans.
